Kathryn’s fiancé not a big fan of her candid camera

RTÉ presenter Kathryn Thomas has said her habit of casually posting photos on social media doesn’t always go down well with her fiancé.

The new mother, pictured, said sometimes her candid pictures landed her in trouble with restaurateur Padraig McLoughlin.

Padraig often finds out about what she is doing because his workmates tell him they saw the photos on social media.

‘So he’s down at work and someone’s going, “I saw your fiancée in bed today”, and he’s going, “Really?”’ the 39-year-old Carlow native laughed. Just by my very nature, I don’t think about things. Some things I put on get me in trouble, because Padraig’s not really on social media. So I suppose that I’m kind of lucky that I don’t really think about things, and whatever happens happens.’

TV star Kathryn gave birth to her first child, Ellie, in March, and spoke about how she’s coping with motherhood, revealing: ‘It’s tiring and it’s hard and it’s all of those things, but it’s a different sort of tired and it’s a different sort of hard work.

‘You’d do it all day, every day. She hasn’t changed our life, she’s just added to it. This is just the next part of the adventure.’

Kathryn added that she would be travelling to Los Angeles with Ellie to visit her sister, Linda, at the end of this month, with Padraig joining them later for a family holiday.

‘Myself and herself are going, then Padraig is going to come. We’re going to do a family holiday then afterwards,’ she said.

Kathryn was back on the social circuit last week, turning out on the Ifta red carpet in a glamorous Synan O’Mahony gown and looking slim and toned.
