Christine: My Irish mammy tracks me on my phone

-

CHRISTINE Lampard has revealed her mother tracks her movements on her iPhone to help her feel safe while her stalker is on bail.

The Co. Down-born Loose Women presenter, 39, spoke last month of her terror at receiving ‘sinister and dark’ tweets allegedly sent from Christof King.

King, also 39, allegedly posted between ten and 15 tweets, sent letters to Mrs Lampard, left, and turned up at the £11million London home she shares with her husband Frank.

The actor pleaded guilty to stalking last week but denied sending the tweets. He has been bailed for sentencing later this month.

And Ms Lampard has said she feels ‘safer’ now that her mother watches all her movements on her smartphone.

‘My mum has Find My Friends on my iPhone so she can keep track of everything I’m doing,’ she said. ‘I’m 39... if I stay out late she knows about it and where I’ve been. She’s always asking why I stayed out so late.’

Ms Lampard added of her ordeal with oddball King: ‘I’ve come out the other end. It wasn’t ideal. I feel safer now.’

The host, who is expecting her first child, gave evidence from behind a red curtain to prevent her from seeing the confessed stalker last month. She said she had checked King’s Twitter account following the ‘exceptionally disturbing’ messages and ‘memorised his face’, Isleworth Crown Court heard.

King is accused of sending tweets including ‘I can hear the scratch of nails as I sharpen them ahead of your crucifixion’ and ‘I can see the inscription on your tombstone’.

The proceedings are a Newton Hearing – used when the defendant admits the offence but disputes evidence.
