The women who look better now than ever

AS COUNTDOWN’S maths whiz back in 1983, Carol had yet to work out her look. The short hairstyle does nothing for her, while the blue-grey eye shadow, which is applied below her large eyes as well as above, makes her look a little owlish.

NOW in her 50s, the TV presenter is a bombshell: long blonde hair frames her lightly tanned face. Bold lashes, coupled with eyeliner drawn tightly along the lash line, show off the almond shape of her eyes, while blusher defines her cheeks.
