THERE’S no place for Philip Deignan in the Team Sky line up for the Tour de France. Deignan, 34, has ridden 10 Grand Tours but never the Tour de France. He was also passed over for this year’s Giro d’Italia. Sky have included 21year-old Egan Bernal in their eight-strong team.

RUGBY Africa and the Tunisia Rugby Union (TRU) have apologised to Zimbabwe whose players slept on the street following problems with accommodation before a World Cup qualifier this week. They’ve not been paid meal allowances either leaving their South African coach Peter de Villiers to fund their food and drink out of his own pocket.
