Shameless Indulgence
YVES Saint Laurent’s perfume range Le Vestiaire des Parfums, which takes inspiration from the brand’s iconic clothing, has a new floral addition that’s perfect for a hot summer’s day.
The fragrances are named after key pieces of YSL clothing — from the tuxedo to the trench. This latest scent, Blouse (€215 for 125ml, brownthomas.com) is an interpretation of Saint Laurent’s 1960s peasant blouses. He transformed the farmer’s smock shirt into these luxurious silk and chiffon blouses which, although initially shocking, came to represent the freedom of women at the time.
The perfume combines crisp damask rose and angelica with galbanum and pink peppercorn, while the base notes of white musk and cashmeran add a sensual touch.
