‘IT’S ALL ABOUT SELLING’

-

A RYANAIR worker has said the airline values ‘sales’ more than staff. The woman, who has worked for Ryanair for over ten years and did not wish to be identified, said the company is putting cabin crew in ‘a position that if they do not sell enough, they may never get the transfer or promotion that they are looking for.

‘They are pressuring cabin crew to be the best sellers ever,’ she said.

‘A few months ago, at briefings, your supervisor would ask you everything about sales and this was a big problem.’

The cabin crew employee said that she felt over the past decade her role has changed towards sales instead of providing service to passengers.
