THE Bike Shop in Wexford is a one-stop shop for anyone interested in cycle racing, mountain biking and BMX competition — or for those just wishing to take a leisurely ride with the kids. Owner Johnny Gordon, left, has noticed a spike in customers during the warm weather.

‘We’re certainly repairing more bikes than usual, I think there’s a lot of bikes coming out of sheds,’ he reckons. ‘Cycling is on a boom anyway and Wexford is a good cycling county. We have a lot more tourists now and as soon as the kids got the school holidays it’s been busier.’
