HERY DENIES PLUCKY GYPSIES

- BRENDAN WHITE

BASTIEN HERY secured a point for Waterford to deny Bohemians at the RSC last night. Dinny Corcoran had opened the scoring for Bohs after 31 minutes and the visitors looked like they’d be leaving with with all three points before Hery intervened in the second half. Bohs took a lead that their possession probably deserved after 31 minutes. Kevan Devaney whipped the left-wing corner to the front post where Corcoran flashed his header past Matthew Connor. They looked for a second but Kenny Browne got back to make the block as Keith Ward looked to set himself for the shot. Waterford levelled 19 minutes into the second half when Hery broke down the right, cut inside and fired under Shane Supple.
