WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?, 9PM, BBC1
BORN in Norwich in the west of England in 1974, award-winning actress Olivia Colman (pictured, right) believes her family hails entirely from Norfolk, and claims to be ‘the least adventurous person I know’. So, as the series returns, she is amazed to find herself in India to investigate the story of Harriot, her great-great-great- grandmother, whose English father worked for the East India Company and married a local girl. In 1811, when Harriot was orphaned, she was put on a boat bound for the shores of England from Calcutta, for a ‘better life’ with her grandparents. The thought of little Harriot’s perilous solo voyage moves Olivia to tears.
