Rose’s cover shoot takes a funny turn

ACTRESS Rose Byrne was the guest of honour at Hamptons Magazine’s monthly cover party in New York at the weekend after she featured on the July cover of the publication.

Rose, pictured, looked summertime chic in a floral print dress and blue suede heels for the afternoon soirée at the Southampton Social Club.

The 38-year-old, who has Irish ancestry, wore her caramel-hued hair styled in loose waves and her fingernails were painted a soft pink.

Rose, best known for her role in Bridesmaids, told the magazine about the 2011 blockbuster.

‘I was very naive, and I didn’t know it would be a controversy and a whole narrative of, “Wow, women can be funny!” It never occurred to me that a successful female-driven comedy would be an exceptional thing,’ she said.
