CLARIFICATIONS & CORRECTIONS

Yesterday, we reported upon an investigation into the deaths of 74 people who contacted the superbug CPE. We wish to stress that the testing for the superbug as part of this investigation, which was carried out at the University of Limerick’s six hospitals, does not suggest that those who contracted it did so in the hospitals in question. We are happy to make this clear.
