A-LIST BODY
THIS week: Michelle Pfeiffer’s upper arms MICHELLE PFEIFFER, 60, showed off her toned arms in a strappy jumpsuit at the premiere of her new film last month. The actress says she is no slave to the gym, but loves hiking and jogging.
WHAT TO TRY: The downward dog push-up is a yoga-inspired move that works all the arm muscles in one go. Start in a high plank position (supported on your hands, instead of forearms). Lift hips using your core muscles and extend the arms to press your bottom towards the ceiling: your body should form an inverted V-shape.
Push up, so you feel a stretch across your shoulders. Return to the high plank. Do a press-up by bending your elbows, keeping them tucked in, and lowering your chest to the floor. Press back up to the high plank and repeat until exhausted.
