TYCOON Elon Musk turned up at the rescue site yesterday with a ‘child-sized submarine’ he had named Wild Boar after the boys’ soccer team.
The US billionaire and founder of Tesla said he had a positive response from divers ahead of the final rescue mission.
But he was left disappointed by the reaction of regional governor Narongsak Osottanakorn – who said that although the submersible was ‘sophisticated’, it was ‘not practical for this mission’.
