Golden Graham! Norton is third on BBC’s list of highest earners
GRAHAM Norton is raking in the dough across the water, it seems – as he is the third highest earner at the BBC, latest figures show.
The Cork comedian, 55, earned between £600,000 (€678,000) and £609,999 (€690,000) last year, according to the BBC list. Presenter Chris Evans took the second spot, earning between £1.66million and £1.67million, and soccer pundit Gary Lineker topped the poll with earnings of between £1.75million and £1.76million.
The list received widespread criticism when it was released yesterday as no female employees appeared in the top 12 earners and only two women were included in the top 20. The highest paid

women in the company were presenter Claudia Winkleman at number 13 with a salary of £370,000-£379,999, and Vanessa Feltz at number 15, with earnings of £330,000-£339,999.
Ms Winkleman earns around one-fifth of Mr Lineker’s salary.
Other female employees on the list include Newsnight’s Emily Maitlis and presenter Jane Garvey.
The BBC had previously made efforts to address the gender pay gap and aims to have 50% female representation on the highest earners list by 2020. The broadcaster said that such changes take time to take effect.
