Akpe-Moses and Neville advance

CIARA NEVILLE (Emerald) and Gina Akpe-Moses (Blackrock-Louth) advanced to the semi-finals of the 100m at the IAAF World U20 Athletics Championships in Tampere, Finland. Neville ran her second fastest ever 100m in 11.54 to finish second and qualify automatically. Akpe-Moses also finished second in her heat to advance in 11.58 seconds. The women’s 100m semi-finals are at 4pm today, and with the final at 7.15pm Arron Sexton (North Down) runs in the heats of the men’s 200m at 11.58am.
