‘Appalling’ Ant should lose the enablers and go back to rehab, says Lisa’s pal

-

S HE’S just returned home from a muchneeded break in Los Angeles where she has been spending time with close friend Craig Robert Young, following her marriage split.

And Lisa Armstrong’s former Deuce bandmate has laid into her ex, Ant McPartlin, in a furious Twitter rant, after helping to heal Lisa’s heartache during her time away.

Posting a link to Amanda Platell’s article in which she said: ‘Ant McPartlin’s not a victim... he’s just rather unpleasant’, he vented his own thoughts on the matter.

He wrote: ‘I couldn’t agree more. He may have issues, but ultimately he is responsible for his appalling behaviour.

‘I do believe drugs and alcohol addiction is an illness but it’s not an excuse for such utter disregard for good humans.

‘Go back to rehab, lose the enablers, the cheaters and a***lickers. Take responsibility for your actions. Once you have done the work... In a few years you might come to realize the pain you have caused and the irreparable wounds that can’t heal, and you will no doubt be full of remorse. But something tells me it might be too late. #sorrynotsorry.’

Lisa, pictured with Ant, has been maintaining a dignified silence – aside from letting her online followers know she didn’t hear about Ant’s romance with Anne-Marie Corbett, 42, until the public did.

Yet Craig’s posts give an insight into how she has been feeling, given that he has spent lots of time with her of late.

Lisa, 41, and Ant, 42, were married for almost 12 years, but the TV star announced their split in January – although it’s worth noting that the statement came solely from him.

Ant first sought rehab treatment in June 2017 after becoming addicted to prescription drugs and alcohol following a botched knee surgery in 2015.

He entered rehab for a second time in March after he was involved in a three-car collision in Richmond, south-west London, and was found to be over the drink-drive limit.

Ant pleaded guilty to drink-driving in April and received an £86,000 (€96,000) fine, as well as a 20-month ban from driving.
