Has Ed Sheeran already tied the knot to Cherry?

ED Sheeran has sparked a flurry of rumours after hinting in a new interview with US TV show Access that he has secretly tied the knot with fiancée Cherry Seaborn.

During his chat on the station, the 27-yearold British singer, pictured, appeared to admit that he would ‘never do anything public’ if he were to marry his long-term partner, blushing as he pointed to the ring on his wedding finger.

And now his father John has added weight to talk that the lovebirds are married, as he refused to confirm or deny the rumours.

When asked on Tuesday if he had seen the filmed interview in which his son hinted at having already tied the knot, 61-year-old art historian and lecturer John responded: ‘I haven’t actually. I am not going to comment because we want to be as private as possible. I am sorry. I know you have got a job to do.’

Ed announced his engagement to Cherry, 26, in January with a candid Instagram snap, gushing to fans: ‘Got myself a fiancée just before new year.’

Ed was asked in the interview: ‘What about the wedding? Have you picked a date?’

Instead of refusing to answer, the Perfect singer stumbled over a response, before shrugging and pointing to his wedding finger which boasted a silver ring.

Assuming this meant he had already tied the knot with Cherry, the interviewer said: ‘Ah right’, before laughing and saying: ‘That’s exciting! Congratulations my friend! Congratulations! How did you sneak that one?’

Ed responded: ‘Well, I never do anything too public anyway.’

Ed Sheeran’s representatives were contacted for comment last night.
