Newcastle duo had to be separated after bust up

÷NEWCASTLE captain Jamaal Lascelles and winger Matt Ritchie were involved in a furious trainingground scrap and had to be separated by team-mates. An argument between the pair during a practice session spilled over into the dressing room at the club’s Tyneside base. It is understood Lascelles then physically confronted Ritchie and the pair were dragged apart by other players. Ritchie, it is said, had taken issue with Lascelles in training towards the end of last week after the skipper voiced his disapproval over manager Rafa Benitez’ decision to play with a five-man defence for last Sunday’s visit by Chelsea. ÷ARSENAL want Ivan Gazidis’s future resolved in the next fortnight, with members of the club’s hierarchy expecting the chief executive to leave for AC Milan. Gazidis has been made a double-your-money offer from the Italian giants to take on a similar position, a proposal he has been considering. The offer from Milan is understood to be in the region of £3.6million per year, an offer that eclipses his current £1.7m salary. ÷KURT ZOUMA will not give up on his Chelsea dream and believes a successful year with Everton will boost his chances of thriving at Stamford Bridge. The France defender moved to Goodison Park on deadline day on a season-long loan after discussions with Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri. Asked whether he felt there will be a time when he has to leave Chelsea for good, Zouma said: ‘No. Not at the moment. I have always believed in myself since I started playing professionally at 16. I have always wanted to show myself at Chelsea.’
