REUNITED!
Meghan and that wedding dress...
SMILING broadly, Meghan Markle sees her wedding dress for the first time since she married in May.
Meghan’s face lights up as she examines the elaborate Givenchy gown in a television documentary.
Referring to her role with Prince Harry as globe-trotting Commonwealth ambassadors, she touches the veil – embroidered with flowers from each member nation – and says: ‘Fifty three countries, oh my goodness. It will keep us busy!’
The dress and veil, as well as the tiara Meghan borrowed from the Queen, will go on show at Windsor Castle, where the couple married on May 19, from next month.
The footage appears in a trailer for a twopart ITV documentary, Queen Of The World, which begins on September 25 at 9.15pm. It focuses on the Queen’s role as a global figure and the baton she is passing on to younger royals as they continue to strengthen ties with the family of nations.
Produced with unprecedented Buckingham Palace involvement, it features several members of the Royal Family, including Harry, Charles and William.
Meghan will be seen talking about her wedding and the importance to her and Harry of their involvement in Commonwealth events.
Harry, now a Commonwealth Youth Ambassador, and Meghan will begin a major tour next month taking in Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga.
The prince appears in the trailer for the documentary, jokingly telling a group of visitors to Buckingham Palace: ‘Have you bumped into the Queen yet? If you suddenly bump into her in the corridor, don’t panic. I know you will... We all do.’
