Bunny’s divine fortune

THE late Bunny Carr, right, got his unusual moniker from a nun who mocked his oversized ears on his first day at school: Today, it’d be grounds for a disciplinary hearing but, back then, it was probably one of the milder greetings a small boy could expect from a teacher. Over the years, he said, he grew into his ears but, even as his career path turned the tables and saw him teaching clerics to handle the ‘meedja’, he never grew out of his nickname.
