EATS AND DRINKS
WINE CHOICE
The list kicks off with a decent Sicilian white for €6.50 a glass and they have the lovely Wakefied Riesling for a rather steep €9.50. Callia Malbec is also ambitiously priced at €9.50. De Wetshof Chardonnay from the Cape is a very sound wine at €32 a bottle, but I don’t know who will buy a Pommard, from a co-op winery, with no vintage stated, at €80. With this kind of menu? Domaine Lafage Rosé is an excellent pink and never cheap, so €40 seems about right.
THE SMART MONEY
Food prices seem reasonable enough.
