TREATS FOR BODY AND SOUL

-

÷ I HAD the pleasure of meeting Paul Howard, creator of Ross O CarrollKelly, on the Elaine Show last week. He is very funny and charming and I love his stories. I explained that when I do read his books — usually on holidays — that I start giggling quite loudly and cannot stop. People do look at you strangely, but I am beyond caring. I recently read Dancing with the Tsars, the 18th novel in the Ross O’Carroll-Kelly series and it has to be the funniest one yet. Ross felt like he was living in a world teetering on the brink, as life as a stay-in-bed husband was turning out a lot more complicated that even he thought. His wife was expecting and he was not sure if he was the father. With his eldest son making all the wrong choices, Ross had complete and utter dedication to helping his favourite (and only) daughter to help her win the greatest prize that South Dublin has to offer — The Strictly Mount Anville Glitter Ball. I loved this and you will too. Alan Clarke’s illustrations are wonderful also. Published by Penguin for €15, it’s well worth it. ÷THE Original Make-up Eraser is a nifty little fleece facecloth that removes all make-up — even mascara. It only requires water to work and lasts up to 1,000 washes. There will never be a time you run out of make-up remover again. Available at pharmacies nationwide for the princely sum of €19.99. I will get three years out of mine!
