‘15,000 troops for US border’

DONALD Trump has said the number of military troops deployed to the US-Mexican border could go as high as 15,000.

The US president said the move would be aimed at preventing the entry of a caravan of migrants travelling from Central America.

The caravan is still nearly 1,600 kilometres from the border. There are 2,100 National Guard at the border.

Mr Trump said the migrants are ‘not coming into our country’.
