Kanye quits politics as Kim worries for his sanity

KANYE West has announced he has ‘quit’ politics. And perhaps it had something to do with a broken promise made to wife Kim Kardashian.

Kim, 38, is said to be ‘concerned’ the 41year-old rapper is becoming ‘unhinged’, according to a source for Us Weekly.

Kanye, pictured with Kim, famously wore a Make America Great Again hat at the end of a Saturday Night Live! episode on September 29 and had a politically fuelled rant aimed at the cast, crew, and audience in attendance.

It seems Kim was not a fan of the move as an insider for the gossip magazine said the rapper promised the mother of his three children ‘he’d never wear a MAGA hat again’.

Yet 12 days later Kanye showed up for a meeting in the White House with Donald Trump wearing the red hat which he claimed made him feel like ‘Superman’.

But on Tuesday Kanye tweeted: ‘My eyes are now wide open and now realise I’ve been used to spread messages I don’t believe in.

‘I am distancing myself from politics and completely focusing on being creative.’

Another tweet saw the Grammy winning rapper write: ‘I support those who risk their lives to serve and protect us and I support holding people who misuse their power accountable.’

He continued: ‘I believe in love and compassion for people seeking asylum and parents who are fighting to protect their children from violence and war.’

Kanye indicated the split came over US President Trump’s policies on immigration, which had left migrant children separated from their parents who had arrived in the country illegally.
