KEVIN O’DONOVAN
was confirmed as Cork GAA’s new secretary last night, succeeding Frank Murphy who will step down at the end of the year after serving for 45 years in the role. O’Donovan has extensive experience working at the coal-face of Cork GAA, having served as a games development officer, development squads administrator and is currently vice-chairperson of the county board, having been an officer since 2015. Cork chairperson Tracey Kennedy said that O’Donovan was assuming the role of secretary/CEO at a time of great opportunity and challenge for the GAA in the county, but that his experience working with the development squad programme will be vital to the creation of a pathway for success in the future.
