PAGOS DE ARAIZ ROBLE 2015 €13, WINESDIRECT.IE, ARNOTT’S Ripe, round blend of Tempranillo, Cabernet and Graciano from Spain’s Navarra region, given a lovely seasoning of oak. This is a genuine bargain. POUILLY-FUMÉ 2017 €16.99, LIDL Sauvignon Blanc in classic Loire style, pungent with a whiff of gun flint (that’s the “fume” part), dry, crisp and elegant. Try with fresh goat’s cheese.
