An extraordinary lesson in perseverance, the dogged animal tries again and again to climb a snowy Siberian peak to join its mother in a video that has tugged at the heartstrings of millions. In the clip, filmed by a drone, the cub repeatedly comes agonisingly close to the top before losing its grip and sliding back to the bottom. The mother even appears to try to grab her cub – but only ends up dislodging snow... sending the youngster plummeting further than ever. Eventually the cub finds better footing – and gets to the top. Some viewers said the clip could serve as a motivational tool – while others praised the mother’s tough love. ‘Sometimes you’ve got to let kids figure it out even if they... struggle,’ wrote one.
