Moz discovers a great Pretender match...

MORRISSEY has joked that he and Pretenders legend Chrissie Hynde would be a perfect match. ‘She is the funniest person in the world, yet she has absolutely no sense of humour,’ the moping former Smiths singer, 59, said of his friend, 67. ‘I know she’d marry me tomorrow, but she’s already had 11 husbands and she’s always being spotted digging in the garden at midnight.’ Fortunately, Hynde’s former husband, Simple Minds frontman Jim Kerr, and ex-lover Ray Davies of the Kinks, are very much alive and kicking. Last week, Morrissey released a video of his cover of the Pretenders single Back On The Chain Gang. He plans to release it as a single next month with a Bside of Gilbert O’Sullivan’s I Didn’t Know What To Do.
