THIS year, the Boots Ireland Night Walks raised €50,000 for the Irish Cancer Society Night Nursing service, which provides in-home care through the night for cancer patients who need end-of-life care. In fact, since 2012, €1.4million has been raised for this invaluable service — which equates to more than 4,064 nights of nursing care for families in need. Over 500 people came together in the initiative to take part in the two public walks in Dublin and Cork, while 38 regional walks took place also.
