Tonight, the powers-that-be sweep into the Berlin CIA station, looking for answers about the leak, while Danny (Richard Armitage) is looking for ways to keep motivated. FIFTIES MOVIE Town On Trial, 9pm, Talking Pictures A THRILLER enjoyable as much for the glimpse of a bygone era as it is for the neat mystery. When a woman is found dead at a posh tennis club, abrasive superinten­dent John Mills is called in – only to be met by a wall of silence. TOPICAL COMEDY THE energetic comedian (pictured), who can veer from cute to cutting in the space of a sentence, is back for a second run of weekly takes on the news. In a new section, he tries out allegedly lifeprolon­ging activities, with the help of familiar faces such as Greg Davies, Jimmy Carr and Roisin Conaty. JUST FOR LAUGHS Comedy Legends: Bob Hope, 10pm, Sky Arts ‘SHE said she was approachin­g forty, and I couldn’t help wondering from what direction.’ Bob Hope was the king of the oneliners. Here Barry Cryer looks back at the career of the comic, writer and actor which lasted 80 years.
