Monday, RTÉ1, 9.35pm BASED on the novel by Eugene McCabe, this drama series is set over the space of 24 hours in rural Co. Fermanagh in 1883. Beth Winters (Ann Skelly) is turning 25 and tries to ‘escape from her limited life and difficult and complex relationship with her stepfather’. Jamie Dornan and Sean McGinley also feature in the cast. MRS WILSON tuesday, bbc1, 9pm THIS new three-part drama sounds potentially interesting. Following the sudden death of novelist and former Special Intelligence Service officer Alexander Wilson, his wife Alison is ‘forced to investigate when mysteries from her husband’s past come knocking’. The impressive cast includes Iain Glen, Ruth Wilson and, Keeley Hawes.

thursday, bbc1, 8pm GERMAN-born hotelier Thomas Kochs was the star of the awardwinning documentary Inside Claridge’s. Now he has moved on to another five-star London hotel, the Corinthia, and the same production team are filming him for this two-parter. The most expensive at the hotel – its Royal Penthouse – costs an eye-watering £22,000 a night. Guests who appear in the documentary include Cuba Gooding Jr and will.i.am.
