THE classic fairytale is being brought back to the stage for those in the Rebel County this Christmas. ON SHOW MAKE HASTE, SLOWLY
THIS collaborative exhibition is taking place in the Return Gallery in Dublin’s Goethe-Institut. The show opens today with artists’ performances and talks from 6pm to 9pm, presented in the context of Liam Gillick’s Denominator Platform, which is also currently on display. Free admission.

ON TOUR DEF LEPPARD
IT’S A sort of homecoming for Stepaside’s most famous resident as Joe Elliott and his band rewind to the heady days of Hysteria. If you are looking for a rock album that sums up the 1980s, this is up there with the best of them. From Animal to Pour Some Sugar On Me and Love Bites, rockers will be in their element.

ON SONG MARTIN MACKIE
MAGIC POTION is the first single from Temperance Songs, an album that’s due in the spring. Mackie, formerly of The Donnelly Brothers and the Popgun Plot, centres this song round the search for booze after the pubs close, with a video by Laura Sheeran, Ed’s cousin.
