Killer news! Irish pair set for worldwide stardom in murder series
IRISH pair Sarah Greene and Killian Scott look set for international stardom after their new series Dublin Murders was picked up by the giant Starz network. The eight-part series, based on the novels of Tana French, will now be broadcast across the US, Canada, Spain, France, Italy and Germany as well as on RTÉ and the BBC.
Rosie star Sarah, 34, and Love/Hate actor Killian, 33, both pictured, lead the cast as detectives Cassie Maddox and Rob Reilly in the crime series. The mainly Irish cast also includes Greene’s Rosie co-star Moe Dunford, 30, and Scott’s Love/Hate colleague Tom Vaughan-Lawlor, 41.
The series is heralded as an atmospheric, psychological thriller based on the first two novels of French’s Dublin Murder Squad series – In The Woods and The Likeness.
It was created and written by Sarah Phelps, who was behind the TV hits Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None and JK Rowling’s The Casual Vacancy. When a young girl is found murdered in a dense wood on the outskirts of Dublin, detective Rob Reilly is sent to investigate with his partner Cassie Maddox. .
Against his better judgment, he is pulled back into another case of missing children and is forced to confront his own darkness.
As the case intensifies, Rob and Cassie’s relationship is tested to breaking point, and when Cassie is sent undercover for another murder case, she is also forced to come face to face with her own past.
Killian said: ‘I couldn’t be more delighted to join the creative team behind Dublin Murders.
‘Sarah Phelps has beautifully adapted Tana French’s compelling novels into a complex and dark exploration of memory, identity and the potentially devastating consequences of pursuing truth.’
He said he was thrilled ‘to stumble into this world alongside the wonderful Sarah Greene’.

The series also stars Leah McNamara, Ian Kenny, Eugene O’Hare, Jonny Holden, Conleth Hill and Peter McDonald. Starz CEO Chris Albrecht said: ‘Dublin Murders is brilliantly adapted by Sarah Phelps, who in blending the first two novels has constructed a complex and enigmatic world for this suspense-filled drama. We look forward to bringing viewers along on this intense ride.’
The series, which will air next year, was originally commissioned by BBC One for RTÉ, with support from Northern Ireland Screen.
