They’re Healy happy! Una and beau David are still feeling the festive spirit

-

UNA Healy’s new beau has shared a picture of the couple as they celebrated their first Christmas together. Taking to Instagram, former Limerick hurler David Breen posted a shot of himself standing alongside the former Saturdays singer as they pose in front of a huge Christmas tree.

The couple, right, who confirmed their relationship on December 23, look smitten during the outing, with Una, 37, catching the eye in a thighskimming black skirt as she affectionately leans into the sportsman.

The photo appeared to meet with the approval of his followers, with one saying: ‘Beautiful couple. Much happiness wished to you both.’

A second added: ‘Delighted for you, and her! Happy Christmas.’

And another, acknowledging the festive nature of his latest Instagram post, simply wrote: ‘Merry Christmas to you and Una.’

The picture was posted just days after Una publicly confirmed she is in a new relationship, five months after separating from husband of six years Ben Foden. Sharing a shot on her own Instagram account, the Tipperary native confirmed she was ending 2018 on a positive note following her painful split from the England rugby international.

Standing alongside Breen, 33, who previously captained the Limerick senior team, Una looked stunning in an appropriately festive crimson dress. She captioned the shot: ‘I have tried to hide him but he’s too tall.’

Una and Ben, 33, married in Ireland in 2012 after four years of dating. They welcomed daughter Aoife shortly before they got married, and son Tadhg in 2015.

However, the couple confirmed their separation after six years of marriage in July following his alleged affair with PR girl Becky Milne.

Ben later confirmed they were officially ending their marriage. He then signed up to dating app Bumble, where he described himself as ‘getting divorced’ and looking for someone who isn’t ‘uptight or bossy’.

Speaking to Hello! magazine in September, Una revealed that she’s ‘taking each day as it comes’ as she presses on with life following their separation.

She told the publication: ‘My life has been turned upside down and I’m trying to figure it out. I’m taking each day as it comes and just being there for my children.’

‘I never feel lonely or alone. They’re lovely company and have brought joy into my life.

‘The most important job for me is to be the best parent I can and to provide and look after them. They’re my priority.’
