FILM COMEDY An Actor Prepares, 6.15pm, Sky Premiere MISFIRING comedy starring Jack Huston as Adam, the bitter son of philanderi­ng actor Atticus Smith (Jeremy Irons). The two men clash and make up on a road trip to attend the wedding of Adam’s sister, Annabelle (Mamie Gummer). COMIC BOOK CAPERS DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow, 8pm, Pick DOCTOR WHO’S Arthur Darvill (pictured) plays Rip Hunter – a ‘time master of long standing’ – in a gleeful and fully committed piece of blockbuste­r TV. Rip is assembling a team of heroes from sister shows Arrow and The Flash in a show that continues every weekday. REAL-LIFE DRAMA Inside The Ambulance, 8pm, W THEY’VE certainly been industriou­s in the filming of this series following a busy urban ambulance service. After a festive run of episodes comes another new series of merry in-car banter and tense cases. Here, Laura and Natalie attend an ex-paramedic who may have had a stroke.

Spencer, Vogue And Baby Too, 9pm, E4 ‘IF THERE’S one thing I hate, it’s reality TV,’ says reality TV star Spencer Matthews at the start of his new series about firsttime parenthood with his wife, the model and presenter Vogue Williams (pictured with Spencer). It’s his self-mockery, along with their mockery of each other, that makes this threeparte­r so watchable.

MOTORING ON

Car SOS/Wheeler Dealers, 9pm, More4/Discovery TWO car restoratio­n series kick off tonight, beginning with the repair of a rotten MGA Roadster by Tim and Fuzz on Car SOS, with a little help from James Nesbitt. In a new series of Wheeler Dealers, Mike picks up a rare Ford Capri for Ant, who decides a total overhaul is required.

CLASSIC MOVIE

The Running Man, 9pm, Talking Pictures LAURENCE HARVEY (pictured) is the man who fakes his own death for an insurance claim, with Alan Bates as the investigat­or and Lee Remick as his wife, who’s in on the ruse. Directed by Carol Reed, this is a stylish, twisty thriller.

NORSE WARRIORS

Vikings, 10pm, 5Spike ‘BLOODY’ is a descriptio­n that barely does justice to the battle that opens season two of this violent drama, which includes a fight between Ragnar and brother Rollo. Will they kill each other or march on to greater things? Ragnar also has a rather thorny matter he must address at home when a woman he hopes to make his second wife turns up.

FILM THRILLER

10x10, 11.45pm, Sky Premiere THE title refers to the size of the room in which Cathy (Kelly Reilly) is deposited by her kidnapper (Luke Evans). All is not as it seems in this movie, written by Noel Clarke.
