Rio is Kate’s Mr Right but she still suffers crippling anxiety

-

KATE Wright has revealed her secret struggle with crippling anxiety, saying ‘most days are a battle’. The former TOWIE star, 27, who is engaged to Rio Ferdinand, took to Instagram to speak out about her mental health.

Known for her picture-perfect social media page, which is littered with bikini-clad snaps from holidays, parties and gym workouts, Kate, pictured with soccer legend Rio, vowed to share more of life’s ups and downs and not just a fake illusion of reality.

In the lengthy post, she penned: ‘One of my New Year’s resolutions is to accept myself, something I struggle with. Anyone that knows me well knows I suffer with bad anxiety and really struggle to love myself.

‘Most days are a battle with what’s going on in my head. I’ve sort of kept this off social media as I’ve been to scared to share it, and the less I shared the more distant Instagram is from my daily life... that’s going to change this year. I’m going to give more of the ups and downs, not just the fun times.’

Kate uploaded the candid post alongside a quote, which read: ‘I am obsessed with becoming a woman comfortable in her own skin.’ Her honest post comes after the TV personality fired back at an online troll who criticised her lavish lifestyle with fiancé Rio, 40 – whose wife Rebecca Ellison died in 2015.

Over the Christmas break, the couple shared a plethora of snaps from their family holiday in the Maldives, with his three children: Lorenz, 12, Tate, ten, and Tia, seven.

When one user brought up the couple’s wealth in a now-deleted comment, Kate quickly hit back. She wrote: ‘Money doesn’t make looking after 3 children that have lost their mum easier.’
