Ellie goes from stylish to soggy … thanks to Les Misérables weather

CUT to the thigh, backless and with a suggestion of transparency, it was a dress guaranteed to turn heads.

Sadly for Les Misérables actress Ellie Bamber, it ended up attracting attention for another reason. Heavy rain left the 22-year-old looking distinctly wet around the edges as she left a Bafta film awards party in Mayfair, London, on Wednesday night.

The hem of her Grecian-inspired Elie Saab halterneck dress was clearly soaked through as she climbed into a taxi on her way to an after-party. Ms Bamber, who played Cosette in BBC1’s Les Misérables, recently split from Bodyguard star Richard Madden, 32. They had reportedly been ‘arguing every day’.

The Bafta film awards, hosted by Joanna Lumley, will be held on Sunday at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
