RYAN McHUGH’S revelation that he has talked with his father about changing his whole style of game because of repeated concussion­s, tells us something. Basically, and brutally, Gaelic football and hurling should have the exact same worries as rugby does in this country. Something needs to be done to save GAA players, from top to bottom in the game, from injuries that might follow them into their older years. Why should it be up to McHugh and his father to look at ways on the field to avoid being regularly KO’d?
