HOPEFULS EASE PAST SCOTS TO MAINTAIN WINNING START
IRELAND’S Under 20s made it two wins from two in their Six Nations campaign with a comfortable victory over Scotland to maintain an impressive 100 per cent start to the competition. Tries from Dylan TierneyMartin, Jonathan Wren and John Hodnett were supplemented by nine points from the boot of Harry Byrne. Byrne’s early penalty settled any possible nerves and when TierneyMartin bundled himself over the line, after Hodnett was help up short, Byrne added the extras. The Leinster fly-half — younger brother of Ross Byrne — also maintained his focus, as well as his range, after Wren touched down, and Hodnett eventually helped himself to a try as well following a grind through the phases. Byrne’s prowess from the tee was impressive, and on this form he is sure to have a major say against Italy in a fortnight’s time.
