GINI WIJNALDUM gave a new meaning to the term ‘squeaky bum time’ as he revealed his struggle with illness during Liverpool’s win on Saturday. Suffering with a stomach bug, Wijnaldum was told not to stay at the team hotel on Friday. He declared himself fit and scored in the 34th minute, before dashing off the pitch. ‘In the morning I was still weak,’ he said. ‘At half-time I had to run to the toilet.’
