What a bloomer! Katy accidentally demotes Orlando

CALL it a demotion!

Katy Perry accidentally referred to her fiancé, Orlando Bloom, as her boyfriend when the pop superstar was live tweeting American Idol.

‘My favourite part of watching #americanidol with my boyfriend is that he always tries to ask if they got in or not before we give the final vote. I never tell him hahahahahahahahahahaha,’ the Fireworks singer wrote.

Apparently Katy didn’t notice the gaffe, but it didn’t get past her fans.

There was no shortage of replies to the tweet.

A number of people just responded with one word: ‘Fiancé!’

A poster named Lucy replied to Katy: ‘does your fiancé know you have a boyfriend?’

Chiara added, ‘orlando when he realizes you still call him boyfriend’.

Rivka was much more harsher by writing: ‘Fiance b **** .’

And Emy shared ‘Forgot about it’. She added a picture of Katy’s gorgeous $5million ruby engagement ring which Bloom had given her. Perry and Bloom announced their engagement on social media in February.

The Pirates Of The Caribbean star, 42, popped the big question during a helicopter ride that Katy, 34, later referred to as a very James Bond move.

‘We landed on a rooftop [in Los Angeles] and my whole family was there, and all my friends. He did so well,’ the singer confessed.

Katy was previously married to Russell Brand while Orlando’s first wife was Miranda Kerr.
