When will the real Prince Harry be coming? What baff led schoolboy asked royal visitor

-

A SCHOOLBOY left Prince Harry dumbfounded yesterday by asking him: ‘When is the real Prince Harry coming?’

Harry was visiting a primary school to help the children plant trees in its garden and many of them chanted his name as he met them in the playground of St Vincent’s Catholic primary school in Acton, west London.

But four-year-old Emmanuel Osei was not convinced he was a real prince – apparently because he wasn’t wearing a crown.

Teaching assistant Philomena Frattura said: ‘One of them tapped him and said, “When is Prince Harry coming?” He said, “But I’m Prince Harry.”

‘He said, “When is the real Prince Harry coming?” He replied, “I’m the real Harry. I’ve just had my hair cut for the occasion.”’

Emmanuel was eventually persuaded that it was the real Harry, and was rewarded with a high-five from the 34-year-old. Explaining Emmanuel’s apparent confusion, learning mentor Diane Redmond said: ‘They think a prince should have a crown.’

Another child asked Harry where his wife Meghan was.

Miming his wife’s pregnancy bump with his hand, he told them she was having a baby. Meghan is due to give birth next month.

Harry was taking part in a tree-planting project organised by the Woodland Trust and formally planted a wild cherry tree, one of 60 new additions to the school’s garden and chatted to the children. He told one group: ‘You guys are lucky to have a space like this. You can come back to the school when you are 20 and tell them how you created this forest.’

As he left, he was given gifts including a babygro decorated with foxes for his new arrival.
