Eternally single? That’s one of Louise’s biggest fears after divorce

-

SHE left fans stunned when she and former footballer husband Jamie Redknapp called time on their almost 20year marriage in 2017. And Louise Redknapp has opened up about moving on from divorce, her fears that she’ll remain single forever and those Daisy Lowe dating rumours in a candid new interview with The Guardian.

The West End star, 44, also addressed Jamie, 45, recently being spotted out on a date with model Lizzie Bowden, admitting she finds lookalike comparisons between the two women ‘kinda weird’.

Louise and Jamie, pictured, who are parents to sons Charley, 14, and Beau, ten, parted ways in 2017, shortly after her stint on Strictly Come Dancing alongside unlikely lothario Kevin Clifton.

While her ex-husband has been spotted out with various women in the years since, Louise has remained single, something she admitted to fearing could be a permanent state.

She explained: ‘It’s really hard for women. I’m beginning to think I’m never going to meet anyone. I’ve not been out for a meal, just me and a guy in a restaurant, in two years. It’s easier for men.’

The former Eternal star also spoke about how it felt seeing Jamie being pictured with model Lizzie Bowden, who was widely dubbed a ‘lookalike’ of her. ‘It is kinda weird!’ Louise said. ‘And then I start looking at them thinking, “Do they look like me?” But he’s got his taste.’

Although the singer admitted it doesn’t hurt her to see Jamie out with other women, she conceded it is ‘hard for the boys’ to see their dad moving on.

Louise has burst back into the

limelight in recent years, with a stint on Strictly Come Dancing as well as currently starring in West End show 9 to 5: The Musical.

The mother-of-two admitted Strictly ‘put the fire back in my belly’, but insisted it wasn’t the catalyst for her marital break-up.

During her time on the BBC dance competition, Louise struck up a close friendship with model Daisy Lowe, 30. The pair were later hit by rumours they had become more than friends and that Louise had even left Jamie for Daisy.

‘I really think double standards were coming into play there,’ Louise said. ‘Daisy and I only went out together four times... so the idea [that I left my husband for Lowe]... I remember my kids saying, “Mum, are you going out with Daisy Lowe?”’

Although branding the rumours ‘morning entertainment’, she admitted they did cause ‘huge’ damage to both herself and her family.

Last week, Louise discussed her relationship with Jamie, admitting the love she had for her ex-husband will ‘never leave her’.
