QUESTION

Dear Linda, I am 42 years old and have only recently realised that having spent 20 years of my life as my mother’s carer after she became wheelchair bound - for which I have no regrets - she passed away last year and I now find myself alone and miserable. Going through my wardrobe I am only beginning to see how badly I neglected myself and my own needs.

I lost contact with so many friends and have no further education to look forward to a future career. I have no siblings and never knew my father as he deserted my mother when he found out she was pregnant. My mum took care of me and gave me so much love it was only fair that when she needed me most I was there for her. I now don’t know what direction to go in moving forward, and would appreciate some guidance. G.

ANSWER

Dear G, my condolences on the loss of your mum. Losing a loved one at any time is difficult enough but your loss after feeling your whole world and purpose was taken from you is even more difficult. However, that said the fact that recognising the smallest thing like your wardrobe is perhaps your starting point.

As hard as it is to move on after the loss of your mum, it is part of the next cycle of your life.

Being your mum’s carer for all those years is a very admirable thing, however, it is now time for self-care and re- assessment of your life. You are still a young woman and it is now time for change. ÷ FIRST CARD: ENDINGS AND BEGINNINGS

The angels sing the praises of those whose hearts accept the universal order, which only appears to be chaotic and ever-changing.

In actuality, everything is designed down to the smallest detail, to be in perfect operation. The dance of the universe is a happy one, with energy swirling and twirling in a never ending celebration of life itself.

Join this dance, dear one, and enjoy the remarkable journey of the weaving of the story of your life. Do not fear what happens to be a change or a loss.

It’s only the transitioning orbit of energy interplaying with you and your loved one. Embrace it as evidence that you’re alive! Embrace your deepest emotions as a signal of your true human essence. ÷ ADVICE/OBSTACLE: BLESSED CHANGE Although you may feel as if your life is upside down right now, everything that’s occurring is for the best. This card assures you that the changes in your life are actually helping you leave behind that which no longer serves you. Your spiritual purpose with the old situations is now complete. You’re urged to stay centered in grace and acceptance.

Keep affirming : ‘I welcome Divinely inspired change, and I stay centered in the eye of the hurricane as change occurs around and within me. All change is for my highest good. I know that love is stable and always provides for me and my loved ones no matter what outer situations appear to be.’

Change ushers in new opportunities to grow, prosper, and create new relationships. The key is to keep breathing and enjoy the changes, even if they’re intimidating.

If the Universe pushes you toward new responsibilities, know that you are qualified in Heaven’s eyes. ÷ OUTCOME ( BREAK FREE) Sometimes we get into ruts and routines because they feel safe and comfortable. By drawing this card, you’re asked to swim outside your comfort zone.

It’s time to take risks and explore new ways of thinking, making a living, or being in relationships. When you make the commitment to explore and experiment, the world responds by giving you wonderful new experiences.

Heaven isn’t necessarily asking you to settle into these new avenues, but to instead test the water. Sometimes we’ll experiment and learn new things, and then when we return to our comfortable old routines, we’re changed (for the better).

This is definitely a time for you to reach out and enjoy new options.
