GUESS WHO GOT A ‘RADICAL’ DO?
THE lockdown seems to have had some fringe benefits for Aoibhín Garrihy,
Like many of us, the actress and influencer was very excited about her return to the hairdresser, and not just for a root touch up.
The former Fair City star shared how she needed a big post-quarantine change and she opted for something ‘radical’.
Aoibhín went to her local hairdressers, The Room in Sandymount, where she documented her transformation.
The mother-of-two photographed herself before she went into the salon, which she posted on her Instagram story with the caption: ‘About to see the back of this quarantine hair finally.’
She later posted a story with her new wavy tresses and fringe as she wrote: ‘Et Voila.. Got bangs.’
As she returned home, Aoibhín shared a selfie of her new look, fringe and all with the caption: ‘Covid has put years on us… it needed to be radical. Thanks @normajeanhair @theroomhairco for bringing some much needed bounce back.’
Of course, all of Aoibhín’s nearest and dearest commented on how much they loved her new look, including her sister Doireann Garrihy who said: ‘You look like the fresh faced lead female beauty in a romcom.’
Model Roz Purcell added: ‘Ok now I need a fringe.’ While Newstalk’s Dr Ciara Kelly said: ‘Ya look about 18!’ One of Aoibhín’s followers praised her saying: ‘Wow I LOVE this look, fabulous hair!!’
The Garrihy sister isn’t only one to go for a chop as TV host Karen Koster showed off her new ‘lob’ after cutting her hair short for the first time in 15 years.
It seems many of us couldn’t wait to change those lockdown locks.
