Donnelly tracker app?

-

HE’S new to Government so Health Minister Stephen Donnelly has yet to learn one vital lesson about photo ops: whenever you pose with a prop of any kind (remember Willie O’Dea with the gun?) you are handing the wits and wags a perpetually open goal. So my favourite of the online captions to Minister Donnelly beaming, as he showed off the new Covid tracker app on his phone, claimed it was the new Donnelly Tracker App, to help users find out which political party the former Soc Dem is in today…

THERE’S a macabre absurdity to the fact that Texas suspended the death penalty during the pandemic, presumably for health and safety reasons, but has now decided it is safe to resume killing prisoners. This week Billy Joe Wardlow, who’d been on death row for more than 20 years, had the grim honour of being the first postlockdown prisoner to be executed. The guards and witnesses wore masks for the event but Billy Joe, for some reason, did not. Must have been a Trump supporter.
