Summer of hugs... Cara in a clinch with Cindy’s girl
CROWDS of protesters, cuddles and cut-off denim shorts – it could almost be the Summer of Love, were it not for the masks ruining the illusion.
With arms wrapped around each other, Cara Delevingne and Kaia Gerber stood in solidarity with Black Lives Matter demonstrators in Los Angeles yesterday – looking sun-kissed and carefree as they made their way through the crowd.
The models, who have been spotted buying groceries together, appeared to be enjoying each other’s company at the protest, clapping and holding hands.
At one point, British actress Ms Delevingne, 27, wearing a crop top and shorts with a rainbow belt, could be seen putting her hands on Ms Gerber’s waist.
Another snap showed Cindy Crawford’s model daughter, 18, who wore a short green printed dress, putting her arms around Ms Delevingne, who identifies as ‘pansexual’ – meaning she is attracted to anyone, regardless of their sex or gender identity.
It comes just a few months after her split from American actress Ashley Benson, who she had been with since 2018. Ms Gerber, meanwhile, broke up with actor boyfriend Pete Davidson, 26, in February.
Yesterday body-camera footage of George Floyd, the unarmed black man who died at the hands of a US policeman, was released showing his arrest. In the police video, Mr Floyd can be seen telling officers, ‘I’m not a bad guy!’ as they try to wrestle him into a squad car. The video is the fullest view yet of Mr Floyd’s interaction with the officers.
