ON SHOW GIAF AUTUMN EDITION

IT’S a very different year for the arts and the Galway Internatio­nal Arts Festival has adapted. This Autumn Edition is bringing John Gerrard’s Mirror Pavilion installati­on to the Claddagh Quay from Thursday. First Thought talks on September 5 and 6 will be a mix of live and online exploring the big issues of 2020.

ON STAGE DUBLIN FRINGE FESTIVAL

THERE have been a few setbacks along the way but the 26th Fringe will open on September 5 with its Pilot Light Edition featuring world and Irish premieres, brand new live artistic projects and online experience­s. One highlight will be the interactiv­e piece A Rain Walk that adds joy to the worst weather.

This documentar­y, presented by Red Bull, chronicles the story of Irish hip hop, exploring how it began here and how we arrived at the point where we have a wealth of talent in this particular area.
