Three men in court over attempted Keane murder
THREE men charged with involvement in the attempted murder of Christy Keane by the McCarthyDundon gang were served with Books of Evidence in the Special Criminal Court yesterday.
Mr Keane was shot a number of times in his car on the grounds of the University of Limerick at around 6.35am on June 29, 2015.
Noel Price, 42, of Kileely Road, Kileely, Limerick City, was charged with having knowledge of the McCarthy-Dundon organisation, and assisting in making a vehicle available. John Costello, 39, of Hennessy Avenue, Kileely, Co. Limerick, was charged with knowledge of the criminal organisation, and that he provided transport in relation to the attempted murder of Mr Keane. Larry McCarthy, 42, of Tower Lodge, Old Cork Road, Limerick City, is charged with making a vehicle available.
Judge Tony Hunt remanded all three in custody to appear again on November 2.
