Ryan’s new Love Story, a family reunion with Tatum to end their years of feuding
WITH everyone smiling for the camera, it looks like a typical family get-together.
But this image of Ryan O’Neal with his daughter Tatum and three grandchildren follows decades of friction.
However, like the film which made his name, it could be their very own Love Story as it shows the first family reunion for 17 years featuring the Hollywood star, 79, and the actress, 56.
Her son Sean, 32, one of her three children with ex-husband, tennis star John McEnroe, shared the moment on Instagram. He wrote: ‘This is one of the most memorable photos of my life.
‘If the O’Neals can reconcile, truly anything is possible.’ It was their first gathering since 2003, he revealed.
Then the occasion was the 30th anniversary of Paper Moon, the film starring O’Neal and Tatum, which won her an Oscar at the tender age of just ten.
In the photo, the actor appears frail after suffering health problems but is apparently in good spirits.
His daughter, who has battled substance abuse issues in the past, reaches out tenderly to touch his hand.
